The Phoenix has landed in Marvel Rivals Season 3, marking one of the most exciting updates to NetEase’s hero shooter to date. Jean Grey, one of Marvel’s most iconic characters, enters the arena with a hybrid skillset that fuses mobility, damage-over-time, and battlefield control.

Season 3 officially launched on July 11 and comes packed with fresh content, including the ominous Klyntar map, big changes to the Team-Up system, and the promise of another highly-anticipated hero—Blade—coming in Season 3.5 next month.

Phoenix’s kit caters to aggressive, mobile players. Her primary fire applies Spark stacks that detonate for AoE damage and healing. Her alt fire sends a flame burst that stuns and slows enemies while building additional stacks. Phoenix can also dash through the battlefield and leave behind an explosive illusion, adding even more stack potential.

Her flight ability offers limited air control, speed boosts, and ammo regen—ideal for repositioning and chasing kills. The ultimate, a devastating dive bomb, eliminates deployables, removes overhealth shields, and sets enemies up for major follow-up damage.

This makes her a natural counter to heroes like Venom or support ults like Luna Snow’s or Mantis’s. Phoenix rewards skillful play and tactical positioning, making her an exciting addition for duelists and strategy-focused players alike.

Season 3 also introduces new Team-Ups:

Primal Flame (Phoenix + Wolverine): Adds lifesteal and burn to his attacks.

Ever-Burning Bond (Human Torch + Spider-Man): Shoots a flame-infused tracer.

Additionally, expect tweaks to Symbiote Shenanigans (now including Hela) and Stark Protocol (now featuring Squirrel Girl). Guardian Revival gets nerfed, while some Team-Ups like ESU Alumnus are being sunset.

Quality-of-life changes are also here. Daily Missions are being retired, with Weekly Missions evolving into evergreen objectives. The Battle Pass will still include 10 skins per season, but you’ll earn rewards more efficiently, thanks to a rebalanced token system.
