Today I will be profiling Burnley striker Steven Fletcher,our 15th player profile. Fletcher graduated from the Hibernian youth system, and he made his full first team debut against Kilmarnock at the tender age of seventeen. In the 2004/2005 season, Fletcher appearedtwenty times for Hibs in the league, scoring five goals. In the 2005/2006SPL campaign, theScotsman was a huge hit as he scored ten goals in all competitions that season, as he started a total of21games.However it was the2007/2008 campaignwhich saw Steven Fletcher become a starting regular forHibernian, as he scored thirteen league goals andhe was also named as the ScottishFootball WritersYoung player of the year. Steven Fletcher is currently the top scorer for thePremier League side, in all competitions this season the striker has netted nine times, however five of them havebeen scoredin the lucrative Premier League.In the League Cup though, Fletcher was able to score in every single round that Burnley competed in. Fletcher also bagged a goal in the next round against Barnsley; however Burnley were beaten by Mark Robins side. Fletchers first Premier League goal came against Birmingham, while the Burnley striker has also netted against Wigan, Man City and recently against the MK Dons in the FA Cup.
