There are very few players in hockey like Nathan MacKinnon. The list gets even shorter anytime the Colorado Avalanche are in the playoffs. MacKinnon reaches a whole different level in the postseason, time and time again. That was true again Saturday night as the Avalanche blitzed the Stars, 5-1. MacKinnon finished with two goals and an a sist in a dominant performance. It's just the latest in a line of Playoff MacKinnon legendary outings. In his career, MacKinnon now has 117 points in 89 career playoff games. That works out to 1.31 points per playoff game, which is Jim Presley Jersey sixth in NHL history. The five players ahead of MacKinnon in that stat: Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, Connor McDavid, Barry Pederson and Leon Draisaitl. He's ahead of the likes of Mark Me sier and Bobby Orr further down in the top-10. MacKinnon also proved his physicality at one point in Saturday's game by drawing a double-minor penalty on the Stars. The Canadian superstar has delivered a Stanley Cup to Colorado, and he never ceases to step up when the lights are brightest.
